Privacy & Sharing
Every memory belongs first to the person who shares it. Gathered Moments is designed to preserve stories with dignity and to publish only what has been entrusted to us for public sharing.
You choose what may be shared.
A submission may include a name, gathering, memory title, date, story, and photograph. The contributor is asked whether that memory may be shared publicly. A “No” answer keeps it out of the public gallery.
A curator reviews every memory.
Permission alone does not publish a submission. A Gathered Moments curator also reviews the photograph and wording and must expressly approve the memory before it appears in the gallery.
Private memories remain private.
Submissions awaiting review, returned for changes, or preserved privately are available only through the protected Curator Portal. Original photographs and complete backups are also kept behind curator access.
A choice can be revisited.
If a contributor later wants a published memory changed or removed, they may contact the Gathered Moments curator who invited their submission. The curator can return the memory to private status.
A little more detail
How the gathering works
Submissions are collected through a Gathered Moments form provided by Jotform and then transferred into the private Gathered Moments archive. Public visitors do not need to sign in. The Curator Portal uses Sign in with ChatGPT only to identify an approved curator and protect private review and backup tools.
Gathered Moments does not sell submitted stories or photographs. Public pages show only memories that satisfy both the contributor’s permission choice and the curator’s publication decision.
